Student Checkout of Equipment

  1. In order to request equipment, students must have a signed agreement on file, as well as a clear library record.

  2. Students may check out the digital or video camera at the beginning of the school day and return it at the end of the day.  If these items are needed for a field trip, they may be checked out overnight or for the length of the field trip.  They need to be returned the first school morning after the field trip.

  3. Lap tops are to be reserved at lunchtime and picked up after school.

  4. Equipment will be issued on a first come, first served basis.

  5. Students may pick up equipment after school for evening use and must return item before 8:30 a.m. the next school day.

  6. If equipment is available after school and has not been reserved at lunchtime, it may or may not be checked out to the student requesting it.  These last minute requests are discouraged.

  7. Late returns of equipment will result in a fine of ten cents an hour or $1.00 a day.  Students are responsible for lost or damaged equipment.

  8. The use of computers and equipment is subject to the district's acceptable use policy and student code of conduct, as published in board policy and the student handbook.  Items are to promote your academic success, not for personal use.  Ex., taking photos of friends for the yearbook, but not for your personal photo album.  Ex. using a laptop for completing an assignment, not for listening to music CDs or doing an assignment for a sibling, boyfriend, etc.
