Bibliographies

When searching the library's catalog, you may want to print out a list of the results of your search.  If you wish,  library staff can display books from your list for your students to use when you bring them to the library.

As time allows, the librarian works on developing monthly bibliographies based on various "themes", such as events that occurred that month in history as well as recurring events, such as holidays. Birthdays of well-known (and some not so well-known) people are featured also.  Another monthly bibliography highlights authors whose birthdays are that month. These bibliographies promote circulation of our library's resources by listing our library's holdings (books, videos, CDs, magazines) for the various topics.  They also provide web sites for most topics.  Even if you don't use "thematic units", these lists can be helpful to students choosing a speech or essay topic, so feel free to copy and share relevant pages with your students.  For now, the librarian shares these bibliographies with staff through The Daily Rounds.   In the future, you may look for links to them here.
